Welcome from the Provost of Neumont University

Earning a college degree is a great endeavor and requires commitment and making proper choices and educated decisions. The fact that you are considering Neumont University for your educational pursuits tells me two things.

1. You are committed to obtaining a satisfying and rewarding career in the information technology industry, and
2. You are interested in the total immersion of education that you will receive at Neumont.

Neumont University focuses on innovation in education as well as the instruction of cutting edge technology and techniques being used by business and industry today. Our school is continually adapting our programs to fit the needs of both our students and our students’ future employers. We are regularly meeting with both small and large companies to gain their insight and counsel as to the direction and trends in the information technology sector. In this same light, our instructors and professors are constantly honing their skills to stay on top of these waves of technological changes.

As we strive to stay on top of paradigm shifts and innovations in information technology, we are also continuing to evolve and improve our educational pedagogy. Neumont University’s curriculum offers a blend of theory, research, and practical application. From early in a student’s academic career, he or she is taught to collaborate by working in groups on a regular basis and is routinely placed into situations which will simulate actual career problems and issues. Our educational model includes both project and problem based learning with the integration of some competency based learning. Students graduating from Neumont University are prepared to enter the work force with not only a strong technical background but also skills which employers covet: communicating, collaborating, critically thinking, understanding of the business, and the ability to make decisions.
