Our philosophy is simple: prepare you for the rigors of working in the technology industry (or any industry) by teaching cutting edge technologies and providing relevant real-world experience before you ever leave the classroom.
OUR MISSION
The mission of Neumont University is to provide a professional education that is rich in ideas, current in industry practices, and deep in technological insight from the input of industry-leading partners.
THE SKILLS GAP
Since the inception of the Computer Science program, institutions of higher learning have placed undue focus on the history, science, and theory of computer science, often overlooking the practical aspects of software development and IT management. As a result, there is an education disconnect between the needs of the IT industry, and the knowledge of Computer Science graduates. This disconnect is referred to as the “skills gap,” and it costs employers millions of dollars each year in training and lost productivity.
Neumont bridges that gap.
500 DAYS OF RIGOROUS LEARNING
That's how we describe the Neumont experience. In approximately 500 days you'll master the fundamentals of our unique program through a hands-on, problem-based, professionally-focused approach.
LEARNING THROUGH INNOVATION
You’ll learn by doing, thus retaining more of what your learn. How? By working in project teams to collaborate. You'll use this experience to master new concepts and explore active learning exercises while building solutions in a variety of problem-based challenges. This applied learning philosophy gives you an opportunity to learn how to innovate, not just read, memorize, and regurgitate how others have done it before you.
RELEVANT KNOWLEDGE
Learning raw technical skills is just the beginning. To meet the demands of industry leaders, new graduates must know how to think independently, work in a team, and master new technologies on the fly. These are the skills that set Neumont graduates apart. This is what you’ll pick up through our innovation-focused approach.
