ADMISSIONS Criteria

The Committee looks to accept students who show an ability to thrive in our rigorous program, and a strong work ethic that will meet or exceed the expectations of our Industry Partners. Applications are evaluated individually, and based on the student's complete picture of accomplishment and aptitude. The Committee evaluates:

  • Standardized test scores (ACT/SAT)
  • GPA and rigor of the student's course load
  • Short and long answer essay questions
  • Work and life experience
  • Letters of recommendation, when available
  • Community service
  • Completion of computer science courses in a previous program (high school or college)
  • A self-evaluation showing a self-awareness of the student's individual strengths and weaknesses
  • International Applicants: please contact Neumont's Director of Admissions for information on applying for Neumont admission with a non-US address and high school diploma.

For more information about our Admissions Criteria, contact your Admissions Officer.

Quick tips to make the application process as painless as possible:

  • Gather your academic records together from any high schools or colleges you've attended (SAT/ACT scores, GPA, school location, all that good stuff)
  • Assemble the basic stats about any past work experience (names of employers, length of employment, etc.).
  • You'll be asked to complete a few essay questions. Please pay attention to spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Seriously. Neumont uses your writing sample to see what kind of mad communication skills you have and if you're a fit for our unique program.
  • Before going to the Acceptance Committee, you'll need to submit your transcripts.
  • Questions about the admissions process? Feel free to contact an Admissions Officer for information on our current acceptance deadlines.
