A business degree with a technical spin, the BSDE program gives future entrepreneurs an incubator to build and develop their professional skills. Digital Entrepreneurs have innovative ideas and the moxy to go out on a limb and put in the extra effort it takes to turn an idea into a reality. BSDE graduates gain a solid background in business principles, and enough technical knowledge to communicate their ideas to a product development team and see a project through to completion.

BSDE Project Experience

  • Foundational Projects – Master the basic intricacies of starting and managing a business.
  • Internal Projects – Apply your knowledge on real-world projects designed to help you understand the fundamentals of business, marketing, and human resource management.
  • Entrepreneurial Projects – Where the fun really begins, for students enrolled in our BSDE program you may choose to launch a small start-up enterprise and experience all the twists and turns of running a company.

BSDE Program Objectives

  • Understand the elements of planning, organization, leadership and management within an organizational setting
  • Increase your knowledge of group dynamics and their impact upon productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
  • Understand basic accounting methods, principles of finance, and their business applications
  • Identify the broad functions of marketing and business statistics and its application to the corporate environment
  • Identify and forecast trends, and make recommendations on preferred courses of action
  • Understand the process of developing digital projects using modern languages and integrated development environments
  • Identify opportunities in the marketplace and develop strategies to best take advantage of them
  • Acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to create a business plan and set it in motion by starting a small business
  • Gain an understanding of how to stimulate economic development in a chosen business area
  • Develop a knowledge of payroll and staff management from a human resources point of view

When all is said and done, you’ll have a Bachelor's degree in Digital Entrepreneurship and in-depth knowledge of what it takes to start and run a small business. Trust us, this will sound much more impressive than four quarters of Interpretation of French Literature in the Napoleonic age.
