What are Enterprise Projects?

Neumont University’s Enterprise Project program involves teams of soon-to-graduate students working on real-world projects for industry leading companies. Companies that sponsor these projects provide direction for the team and challenge them to reach their project goals and timelines.

How Does it work?

  1. Neumont offers Enterprise Projects every quarter starting in January, April, July and October.
  2. Quarters run ten weeks at a time and each student on the team works on the project for a minimum of 20 hours per week.
  3. Enterprise Projects sponsoring companies retain all IP rights for the resulting work and all parties are bound by NDA, Non-Compete, and other agreements.
  4. Employers sponsoring Enterprise Projects dictate everything regarding the project from methodologies, to reporting procedures, to coding practices and standards — even down to a dress code, if applicable.
  5. By creating a project experience that replicates the sponsor's professional environment not only does the sponsor get a quality finished project, they also gain an unparalleled opportunity to “test drive” potential hires for 10 weeks on-the-job.
  6. The experience gives the student a more realistic experience and a good taste of what it would be like to work for that company

THE 10 WEEK INTERVIEW:

By working with student teams in your environment you can virtually eliminate the risks associated with a bad hiring decision. Through the Enterprise Projects program you can train future candidates on your policies and practices over the ten week quarter, before they ever appear on your payrool. Given how well you'll get to know each candidate’s strengths and weaknesses, it’s easy to see why the Enterprise Projects method of interviewing is so popular with our employer partners.

After working with the team for ten weeks, you’ll have a very clear picture of each candidate’s:

  • Technical skills
  • Work ethic
  • Attitude
  • Ability to learn
  • Communication skills
  • Ability to work with others and fit into your team and organization, etc.
