THE CODE MATTERS, BUT SO DOES COMMUNICATION

Hiring managers at some of the nation's top technology employers will tell you:

"It is not just about the code, although the code must be clean. It's about analysis, interpretation, interpersonal skills, and teamwork – the same skills an employer would demand from their product development or operations teams."

That is why Neumont's program revolves around a Problem Based methodology.  Our students are expected to work in groups from day one to define the problem, theorize about solutions, design a plan, then build, evaluate, and adjust; all resulting in a final grade that truly reflects their ability to perform on a software development team.

WELL-ROUNDED STUDENTS

What does that mean for a hiring manager?  It means that Neumont graduates have mastered the prevalent technologies used by industry, and learned the techniques that will keep them ahead of the curve for years to come.

It means you're hiring an employee who can communicate effectively in a business setting, who is well-versed in seeing beyond numbers and algorithms to the inherent use and value of the information they are manipulating. Oh, and they've also earned the equivalent of almost six months corporate experience, with companies just like yours, well before they start their career.

When you hire a Neumont graduate you aren't hiring a set of hands, but someone with a fundamental understanding of technology and business processes, and an ability to innovate under pressure.
