The Neumont Difference

To meet the demands of industry leaders, new graduates need more than raw technical skills, they must know how to innovate, work in a team, and learn new technologies on the fly. These are the skills that set Neumont graduates apart.

LEARNING THROUGH INNOVATION, THE NEUMONT APPROACH

For us it's quite simple, it means that our students learn by doing, exploring, and building solutions in a variety of problem-based learning exercises. This way our students learn how to innovate, not just how to read, memorize, and regurgitate. By encouraging students to learn through innovation they retain more of the principals covered, and develop a greater understanding of how to approach complex problems. And, we've found this is also a more effective way for students to retain the information they gather.

HOW YOU RETAIN INFORMATION:

The pyramid graph below illustrates different teaching methods and how much information is generally retained when that method is used. The bulk of your time at Neumont will be spent in the yellow areas.
