Commencement

Congratulations! Graduation is just around the corner and you may feel like you don't have a care in the world. You're nearing the end of school and you most likely already have a job lined up. We really are happy for you, but there are a few things you need to take care of first. This page contains important information about graduation, and serves as the official location for any graduation updates or communication.

  • Caps, Gowns, and Tassles

    Caps, gowns, and tassels will be available in the bookstore approximately one week prior to the ceremony and at the Libby Gardner Concert Hall the day of the ceremony (but they will be wrinkly so we suggest you get them early and take them to be pressed.) Only traditional caps and gowns will be allowed.

  • Guests

    You may invite an unlimited number of guests; no tickets or reservations are required. Guests should arrive at the theater no earlier than 1:30 pm; the theater opens at that time.

  • Parking

  • Invitations

    You can purchase announcement, invitations, and other graduation memorabilia through Jostens.

  • Graduation Process
    1. Complete the Commencement Information Form (even if you are not planning to participate in Commencement).
    2. Schedule a meeting with the Registrar to complete a Graduation Analysis.
    3. Sign the Commencement Participation Form and return to Student Affairs by the deadlines listed below. Forms may be amended up to 90 days before Commencement.
    4. A $100 graduation fee will be charged to your student account.
