Tips for Out of State Visitors

• To stay oriented, keep in mind that the biggest mountain range is located on the East side of the valley. You can’t miss it.
• The Salt Lake Valley is built on a grid with Temple Square as the Central point. Blocks are measured off in 100’s, so eight blocks south and three blocks east of Temple Square is 800 South 300 East.
• Locals like to knock off the last two digits of an address when discussing location. You might hear someone say Neumont is located at 107^thSouth and 7^th West. In English the rest of the world understands, that means 10700 South 700 West, or 107 blocks south of Temple Square, and seven blocks west.

(We also tend to call mountains “moun’ins” and have an affinity for ice cream.)

FROM SLC AIRPORT/NORTH OF THE CAMPUS:

• Take I-80 East toward Ogden/Provo.
• Merge onto 1-15 S via the exit on the left toward Cheyenne/Las Vegas.
• Take the 10600 S exit (exit 293) and turn right, heading west toward South Jordan.
• Turn left onto River Front Parkway, directly across from the golf course.
• Neumont University is the 2nd building on your left.

FROM SOUTH OF THE CAMPUS:

• Head north on 1-15.
• Take 10600 S exit (exit 293) and turn left, heading west toward South Jordan.
• Turn left onto River Front Parkway, directly across from the golf course.
• Neumont University is the 2nd building on your left.
