What is your title?:
Associate Software Engineer
Where are you working?:
InterKnowlogy in Carlsbad, California
How did project based learning prepare you for the role you are in today?
Without Neumont's unique approach to teaching software development, I would not be able to jump into a professional, team-based work environment and adapt as quickly as I did. I was literally able to push out my first professional software project within the first 6 weeks of employment.
Anything else you would want to tell someone who is considering a local school rather than coming to Neumont?
Neumont is perfect if you are the type of person that is willing to work hard and adapt quickly to the kind of fast-paced and challenging environment that exists in the industry. I took a huge chance moving away from home to attend a small, little-known university in a city I'd never been to, but I wholeheartedly believe that it was the best decision I've ever made. The education that Neumont provides in the field of software development is top-notch, and well worth it when you receive that diploma.
