Graduation FAQ
- When and how do I go about collecting my diploma?
After all academic and financial aid requirements have been verified, diplomas are printed for graduates. This process takes about two months. Diplomas are either given to a student at commencement (annual ceremony that celebrates graduation) or sent to them by mail.
Make sure your address has been updated on the Portal. That is where your diploma will be sent.
- What if I lost my diploma, how can I request another one?
You can request a duplicate diploma by emailing registrar@neumont.edu. There is a $25.00 reprinting fee.
- What if I need verification of graduation prior to receiving my diploma?
If a third party, such as a lending institution or potential employer, needs proof that you have completed your academic requirements for graduation, the Registrar's Office may issue a letter describing your Neumont status.
If you would like to request an official Neumont transcript, please go to Alumni and Former Student Transcript Ordering.
- When do I graduate?
You are a Neumont graduate on the last day of your final quarter. Commencement, which honors your achievement, is held once a year, each Spring.
- Do I need to do anything to close out my financial aid account?
Review your financial transactions on the Student Portal. Will your balance be $0 after the Graduation Fee and final quarter tuition/living expenses are posted? If so, you'll need to complete a financial aid Exit Interview at www.nslds.ed.gov and notify your Financial Aid Advisor.
A member of the Neumont Financial Aid department can review financial aid matters with you. They can be reached at: financialaid@neumont.edu, Neumont third floor, or 801.302.2800.
- How do I go about purchasing my laptop from Neumont and when can I do so?
If you did not purchase your laptop upon enrollment, the Neumont IT Department will contact you about two weeks prior to the end of your final quarter with instructions regarding your laptop. If you do not hear from them by that time, please e-mail support@neumont.edu. They will provide instructions regarding your laptop.
- How do I access my email after I graduate from Neumont?
After graduation, you will have an alumni email account that is hosted with Google Apps Education Edition. We will email you instructions on how to access this new email account within 4 weeks of graduation. We'll send instructions to your existing Neumont student email account, as well as an alternate email account you may have listed on your graduation contact form. If you have questions, email support@neumont.edu
