Technical Support

Technical Support Requests

Competition Questions:

The SuperBot Challenge presented by Neumont University is available to handle limited technical support requests and clarifying questions about the rules of the Challenge.

Other Questions or Issues:

For complex technical issues regarding the installation or operation of Greenfoot, please contact Greenfoot directly. For help with programming in Greenfoot use the Greenfoot Discussion Boards

When sending a support request you should:

  1. Specify your operating system (Windows/Mac) and version. We are not set-up to support any other operating system, please contact Greenfoot directly for other OS questions.
  2. Be specific - give as much information about the problem as possible. Include information about what you do to cause the problem, and the exact error message (if any) that you get. Screenshots of the error message are very helpful.
  3. For compile errors read through your code, something is incorrect or missing.  Save frequently so that you can return to an earlier version of your scenario if you are unable to correct your compile error. The Greenfoot Discussion Boards are an excellent resource if you are unable to correct your compile error. Neumont will not provide support regarding compile errors as this would be unfair to competitors who wrote their own code without Neumont support.
  4. For complex technical issues regarding Greenfoot, send to Greenfoot directly .Be sure to include the debug log - the file called "greenfoot-debuglog.txt", whose location should be displayed in the "About Greenfoot" dialog which you can access from the Greenfoot menu. This is needed to try and sort out your problem! Without it, you'll most likely just get an email back asking for it.

Good Luck!
