Freshman Experience: Accepted Student Weekend

APRIL 6 - 7, 2018

FReX is designed to help you get to know Neumont, our students, and Salt Lake City. Below is an outline of events and activities you'll participate in throughout the weekend.

Friday, April 6:

  • Morning: Event check-in will be held from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at The Little America Hotel. After check-in, you and your parents will hear presentations from Neumont staff and faculty who will share the details on why a Neumont education is different. You’ll then enjoy lunch while getting to know your fellow FReX attendees.
  • Late Afternoon: Open Campus; Find out what makes Neumont tick, as you explore campus, check out student projects, compete in an engineering challenge, and get your questions answered by staff and faculty.
  • Evening: Dinner Break; Enjoy dinner and a chance to put your feet up before getting your game on.
  • Late Evening: Student Social; This student-only social features all things game from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on campus. From video game tournaments, to ping-pong, to table-top games, there will be something for everyone.

Saturday, April 7:

  • Morning: Housing Tours; Visitors are invited to tour one of the Neumont Student Housing. To accommodate all of our visitors, please only visit your assigned location during the time slot that corresponds with your student’s last name.

  • Both apartment complexes, The Essex and The Mercer Downtown, are located near the TRAX line. Visitors will be given a TRAX all-day pass and encouraged to use TRAX to travel to Student Housing, as parking is very limited. This all-day TRAX pass can be used to explore Salt Lake with any remaining time.

  • Please note that The Essex and Mercer have identical layouts; there is no need to tour both locations. To accommodate everyone in a timely fashion, please visit your assigned location during your assigned time.
